{"id":6235,"date":"2021-03-31T15:03:50","date_gmt":"2021-03-31T13:03:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/?p=6235"},"modified":"2021-11-17T15:14:29","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T13:14:29","slug":"sam-algeciras-obtains-authorization-to-apply-cold-treatments-to-vegetables-destined-for-export","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/sam-algeciras-obtains-authorization-to-apply-cold-treatments-to-vegetables-destined-for-export\/","title":{"rendered":"SAM Algeciras obtains authorization to apply cold treatments to vegetables destined for export"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The concession from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food allows Alonso Group&#8217;s multimodal logistics platform located in the hinterland of the port of Algeciras to market cold treatments for perishable goods destined for third countries outside the European Union.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new step for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/\">SAM Algeciras<\/a>, the logistics platform of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/\">Alonso Group<\/a> located just over a kilometre from the Andalusian port, on its way to becoming a strategic enclave for fruit and <strong>vegetable products <\/strong>on the Iberian Peninsula. The company has just obtained <strong>authorisation<\/strong> from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to be able to carry out cold treatments in its facilities for vegetable products. These goods are destined for export to third countries, specifically <strong>China, South Korea, Australia, the United States, Mexico, India, Indonesia, Israel, Canada, South Africa and Hong Kong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this way, <strong>SAM Algeciras <\/strong>will be able to store, in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/dry-cargo-storage\/\">11 pre-cooling chambers<\/a>, which are prior to the cold treatments in transit, foodstuffs such as citrus fruits, non-citrus fruits, stone fruits or tomatoes. This authorisation is valid <strong>until 2023<\/strong> and the Alonso Group&#8217;s Quality Department has been involved in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maxium certifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This<strong> licence<\/strong> comes in addition to three others that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/news\/\">SAM Algeciras<\/a> has been obtaining in recent months. Firstly, that of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/sam-algeciras-gets-full-oea-across-the-platform-to-ensure-greater-security-for-its-customers\/\">Authorised Economic Operator (AEOF)<\/a> in its complete modality, which includes the entire logistics platform and all its services (cold and dry warehouses as well as workshops). Secondly, the achievement of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/sam-algeciras-achieves-ifs-logistic-certification-taking-a-further-step-in-its-quality-policy\/\">IFS (International Featured Standards)<\/a> Logistic for the storage of food products at controlled temperatures. Finally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/sam-algeciras-increases-its-cold-storage-offer-with-its-new-certification-for-organic-products\/\">BIO certification<\/a> for organic foodstuffs in refrigerated facilities, which is already being applied to oils of Spanish origin, fruit and vegetables. These are undoubtedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/quality-and-environment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">major advances<\/a> to improve its <strong>intermodal, competitive and efficient logistics<\/strong> offer for perishable products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>State-of-the-art facilities in a strategic location<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>professional and quality service<\/strong> that adds to another of the great advantages of SAM Algeciras: its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samalgeciras.com\/en\/contact\/\">strategic location.<\/a> It is situated just over a kilometre from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apba.es\/en\/\">port of Algeciras<\/a>, one of the most important in the southern Mediterranean, which has regular connections with the most important port facilities in the world that handle all types of goods.
