The Regional Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Regional Government of Andalusia recently presented the publication “100 leading women in Andalusian industry 2026. We are making Andalusia better”. In this edition, SAM Algeciras celebrates the inclusion of two of its colleagues, Carmen Romero (Human Resources Department) and Belén Pacheco (Warehouse and Customs), whose careers and commitment have been highlighted among the most influential profiles in the industrial sector in the region. Both work at the facilities managed by Grupo Alonso in the hinterland of the port of Algeciras.
Talent as a driver of growth
This recognition has taken place during the Second Andalusian Women in Industry, Energy and Mining Week, an initiative aligned with the CRECE Industria 2027 Action Plan. The distinction awarded to Carmen Romero and Belén Pacheco not only highlight that the success of Andalusian industry lies in its ability to integrate all available talent, but also symbolise the diversity of professional roles in which women are leading change. Their profiles promote a more competitive, sustainable and committed Andalusian industry. Their daily work is a fundamental pillar in the construction of a stronger industrial fabric within the port of Algeciras.
Commitment to equality
From SAM Algeciras, a multimodal logistics platform, we reaffirm our commitment to equal opportunities and the professional development of our female employees. The full publication is now available through the official channels of the Regional Government of Andalusia, emphasizing that female leadership is, now more than ever, a driver of real transformation.
