Grupo Alonso‘s multimodal platform located inside the port of Algeciras, SAM Algeciras, has recently participated in the international Fruit Attraction and Conxemar (Vigo) fairs.
The company wanted to show, in first person, the services it offers to the perishable products industry, a vital and essential sector in the food chain. These have been very intense days in which those responsible for the storage and refrigerated division of SAM Algeciras have been in contact with hundreds of exporters and importers from all over the world.
In the case of Fruit Attraction, which has brought together exhibitors from 137 countries in the Spanish capital, it has offered the possibility of networking with companies working in the international fruit and vegetable trade. “Fairs such as these offer endless possibilities. They allow us to observe how markets are behaving and to contemplate new lines of business. We can also maintain direct contact with clients”, they explain from SAM Algeciras. In fact, the international event is a point of commercial connection for all the professionals involved in the value chain, as well as having consolidated itself as a framework for innovation in the fruit and vegetable market.
SAM Algeciras’ offer for frozen products
Vigo was the setting for another major international event, hosting Conxemar 2023, the frozen seafood fair. A benchmark in Europe, it is a meeting point for wholesalers, importers, exporters, processors, distributors and manufacturers in the sector.

This edition has broken records in terms of exhibitors, 13% more than in 2022, coming from up to 45 different countries.
