SAM Algeciras, multimodal logistics platform located in the hinterland of the port of Algeciras, has collaborated with Fundación Prolibertas, which fights against marginalisation and social exclusion, during its Christmas solidarity campaign. This aid was carried out through Alonso Group, the holding company to which the company belongs.
Fundación Prolibertas, with a delegation in Algeciras, has more than 20 years of experience in the social inclusion of groups in vulnerable situations. This support is carried out through five lines of action:
- Coverage of basic needs
- Social intervention
- Training and employment
- Development cooperation
- Solidarity shops
The sustainable project of Fundación Prolibertas and Alonso Group
One of the projects undertaken by Fundación Prolibertas this year has been the installation of solar panels at its headquarters in Algeciras. This work, aimed at reducing energy costs, has been financially supported by Alonso Group. This is another example of its contribution to society, which is directly related to sustainability and respect for the environment, values that the holding company’s CSR policy pursues. This is not the only NGO that Alonso Group has supported during its 2022 solidarity campaign, as the holding company has also collaborated with the Food Bank, AGA-Ucraína, UNHCR and Aspanion.
2022, a great year for SAM Algeciras
When 2022 is about to end, the multimodal logistics platform located in Algeciras cannot make a better balance. In addition to its social actions, such as the collaboration with Fundación Prolibertas, SAM Algeciras has continued with its commercial work, both nationally and internationally. Some examples are: the commercial visit to Chile to publicise its specialised offer in the logistics of the fruit and vegetable sector; the appointment in Fruit Attraction, where they exhibited their storage, distribution and transport services for perishable products; or the meeting in their facilities with a delegation of fruit and vegetable businessmen from Costa Rica. Non-stop work for a company located just a kilometre and a half from one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean and Europe.
